Abraham Ancer starts fifth in the BMW Championship

Mexican golfer Abraham Ancer debuted with the right foot at the BMW Championship that is set in Maryland, United States, when placing in fifth position of the table to two strokess of the general leaders: the American Sam Burns, the Spanish and world number one Jon Rahm and the Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy.

El Turco, who recently won his first PGA victory by winning the World Golf Championship, tied for fifth with American Patick Cantlay thanks to a 66-stroke card, six under par from the field, with seven birdies for a bogey.

Burns Rahm and McIlroy started at the top of the table thanks to 64-shot runs, but the American and Rahm did it without making a mistake. Rory recovered from a bogey thanks to an eagle on flag 16.

For his part, Carlos Ortiz from Guadalajara took over position 19 of the table by delivering a four-down card with five birdies for a single bogey.

World number two Dustin Johnson is tied for seventh. with five shots under par.
