Federico Coria reached the semifinals by beating Cristian Garin 6-4, 4-6 and 6-2 in the Bastad Tournament (Sweden) after more than two and a half hours of play.
Coria handled the first set well and with a break to Garin, number 18 in the ATP ranking, he took the first set. None of the tennis players was successful with the serve during the second set; the Chilean lost his serve three times, one less than Coria, took the sleeve and put the tie on the scoreboard.
In the final round, the Argentine, number 77 in the world, managed to be consistent on serve and successfully won the set after two breaks to gain access for the second time in the year to this instance (Córdoba the previous one).
