Turkish Yankı Erel wins tournament in Tunisia

Turkish tennis player Yankı Erel won the title of the “M15 Magic Hotel Tours” men’s singles tournament, held in Tunisia.

The Turkish Tennis Federation said in a statement on Sunday that Erel won the title after beating Argentinian rival Santiago Rodriguez Taverna 2-1 (4-6, 6-1, 6-2) .

The statement added that in the quarter-finals, Erel outclassed his German counterpart Robert Strombachs, and in the semifinals, he eliminated New Zealand’s Ajeet Rai.
