The Professional Footballers’ Association in the Premier League has released the best squad for the 2020/2021 season. Here’s the Starting XI.

The 2020/2021 Premier League competition is over. Manchester City won the title, beating rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.

As usual, the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) released the best squad. Those who are considered to have impressed throughout the 2020/2021 season, are selected to enter the squad based on their respective positions.

And on Friday (4/6/2021), the PFA has released its squad of choice. Eleven names are included in the best starting XI for the 2020/2021 Premier League season.

In the position of goalkeeper, Ederson Moraes was chosen. The Man City goalkeeper performed brilliantly by keeping 19 clean sheets, ahead of Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy (16).

Then in the position of defender, four players are selected. Three of them also came from Man City, namely Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias, and John Stones. Another one is Luke Shaw, Man United’s left-back.

In the midfield position, Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Guendogan (Man City), Bruno Fernandes (Man United). And finally the front trident was given to the Tottenham duo Son Heung-min and Harry Kane, as well as Liverpool striker, Mohamed Salah.

The PFA will also award the best player and the best young player. For each category, 6 nominations have been selected.

For the best player category, those who have the chance to win are Bruno Fernandes, Kevin De Bruyne, Harry Kane, Ilkay Guendogan, Phil Foden, and Ruben Dias.

While the category of best young players will be won by Mason Mount, Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Mason Greenwood, Phil Foden, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
