Red Flames go without a few Anderlecht players against Spain | Red Flames

In an exhibition game with Spain, the number 13 in the world, the Red Flames (FIF-18) suffered a 3-0 defeat in Madrid on Thursday.

At halftime it was 1-0 thanks to a goal from Mariona Caldentey in the 42nd minute. After the break, Alexia Putellas (48′) scored from the penalty spot after Janice Cayman’s handball. Fifteen minutes before the end, Aitana Bonmati put the 3-0 final score on the board.

With the match, the Flames concluded an internship in Spain. They prepared for the qualifications for the 2023 World Cup.

National coach Ives Serneels had to do without some Anderlecht players, after a corona infection at the Brussels club. Tessa Wullaert and Tine De Caigny, among others, were not among them.
