NBA News – Suns vs. Clippers: Chris Paul and Kawhi Leonard are missing at the start

The Western Conference Finals between the Phoenix Suns and the LA Clippers will start on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. Kawhi Leonard will continue to miss the Clippers, while Chris Paul still has a chance.

Paul is still in the corona protocol after he was presumably tested positive, but the Suns listed the upcoming Hall of Famer as “questionable” for the start of the conference finals.

The Point Guard was vaccinated in February, but it is currently unclear whether CP3 has symptoms. However, Shams Charania (The Athletic) has already announced that Paul will not play in Game 1.

On the Clippers side, however, Kawhi Leonard will be absent for the first two games in Phoenix. The 29-year-old did not travel to Arizona with the team after sustaining a knee injury in Game 4 against the Utah Jazz.

The Californians are still keeping a low profile when it comes to the state of the two-time finals MVP. There are rumors that the anterior cruciate ligament may have been compromised, but this has not yet been confirmed.

In eleven games in these playoffs, Leonard has so far placed an average of 30.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.1 steals, all with odds of 57.3 percent from the field and 39.3 percent from the triple line.

For the Clippers, it is the first time they have taken part in the Conference Finals in franchise history; the Suns were last among the top four teams in the NBA in 2010.
