Orlandina Basket is pleased to announce that Marco Cardani is the new head coach of the club. Cardani, born in 1989, has signed an annual contract with an option for the second year.
It will therefore be up to the child prodigy of Italian basketball to replace coach Marco Sodini on the blue-white bench.
Marco Cardani stood out from a very young age, when he started coaching the youth teams of Junior Casale Monferrato and Olimpia Milano, where he crossed for the first time the path of Matteo Laganà, which he finds today at Orlandina Basket.
Then in 2016/17 he moved to Bernareggio Basketball in Serie C, where he began his experience as head coach. The Lombard immediately won promotion to Serie B in the first year and in recent seasons, under the guidance of coach Cardani, they achieved important results, including the LNP 2020 Centenary Super Cup in Serie B.
Now I land in Sicily in a club known for launching young emerging coaches with the necessary hunger in the Olympus of basketball.
