TSV Langeoog Judoka Shine at Judo Safari: Promoting Values and Competition

Last weekend, the judoka from TSV Langeoog took part in the judo safari for the second time, which is organized by the regional associations on behalf of the German Judo Federation (DJB). This very popular club event shows that judo is more than just a martial art. Teaching the ten judo values ​​(politeness, courage, willingness to help, honesty, self-control, seriousness, respect, modesty, appreciation and friendship) is just as much a part of judo training as the sporting competition, which challenges and can promote the entire body and mind. That’s why the judo safari with its individual sections is so valuable for the children taking part.

The judo safari consists of a judo competition, a competition that includes running, throwing and jumping as sub-areas and a creative competition. These three categories can be designed individually by the clubs themselves. This time, TSV Langeoog has come up with a few new competition exercises so that there is something new, especially for the children who took part last year.

The TSV judo department head Heini Matzies once again organized and carried out the judo safari with the support of Wolfgang Ramm, who has often supported the judokas on the island.
