It will soon be the Tour de France, a major annual cycling event during which the crowd has become accustomed to erecting climbers as heroes, those whom no height difference seems to put off, nor any descent to frighten. Among these runners, another caste a little apart, that of the sprinters, with muscular legs, tempered characters and a certain taste for risk.

But what really happens under the helmets, at the time of the final sprint? How are these men preparing to make the right choices in these moments of extreme tension, to respond to them? Big report went to Porto Vecchio, in the south of Corsica, to follow the training of the triple champion of France Arnaud Démare and his four faithful lieutenants of the Groupama-FDJ team.
