From catering to the Mediterranean Cruise, the disappointment of the fans is evident. The official uniform of the Italian national team did not find the consensus that was expected. Still, it is a tribute to Enzo Bearzot, iconic figure of national football.
Armani’s intent
The relaxed-looking suit is inspired by the elegance of the historic coach who led the Italian national team during the 1982 World Cup, won by the Azzurri. The light blue / white jacket with mandarin collar, in light cotton is combined with soft black trousers. On the chest the emblem of Italy, in the heart the grit that distinguishes us, on the essential and nonchalant style typical of the Belpaese and characteristic of Bearzot.
“I imagined a light dress but full of dignity, how dignified and proud our spirit must be at this moment”, he specified Giorgio Armani.
Positive opinions on the uniform
However, there are also many positive opinions that the formal Emporio Armani uniforms have received. Among all, also the president of the FIGC Gabriele Gravina: “A suit capable of uniting and enhancing three fundamental characteristics of this young, elegant and determined national team,” he declared.
With all due respect to the fans, Italy could not be represented in a better way, at the 2021 European Championships, if not with a stylist of the caliber of Giorgio Armani. While waiting to see them on the field, let’s observe them on the bench, relaxed and elegant.
