Hello, We are the Douglas Spartans Basketball Club! We are a small traveling team in Douglas Arizona. The goal of the Club is to teach fundamental Basketball skills, Teach sportsmanship, and positive competitive skills that can all be put together and used both on the court and off. We learn life lessons that are important to us in our academic life, our athletic life, and in our life in general, Coach Joe Alvarez loves to quote the great Coach John Wooden, “The best coach is a teacher that gets all his squad to accept the role that he considers to be the most important for the welfare of all!” Coach Joe does this and more. The Club is a place to learn. grow, and play some hard basketball! With all this said we need your help! We have some traveling engagements coming up and we need a little help to get us there. We do fundraisers during the season, we thank all of you that have supported our fundraising efforts! But there is more to be raised, So we are asking for a small goal of $1000 to help with travel costs. We understand that times are rough, any amount you can give will all be greatly appreciated!
