Victories remain elusive with Venezuelan Eduardo Rodríguez. This Tuesday the left-hander went without a decision for the third consecutive day, despite the Red Sox defeating the Braves 10-8.
The red-legged offense gave E-Rod a significant cushion in the first inning, scoring four runs on homers by Rafael Devers and Hunter Renfroe.
Two innings later they extended their lead to 5-0, but that wasn’t enough to dampen the Braves.
At the end of the third inning Atlanta discounted with one and in the fourth they added another three, with a double by Abraham Almonte and a triple by Ronald Acuña, to put the score at 5-4 and take Rodríguez out of the game.
The Venezuelan finished with a 4.0 inning effort, in which he received six hits and four touchdowns, walked one and struck out eight.
Although he did not carry the defeat and his record remained at 5-4, E-Rod he downgraded his ERA to 6.21.

Although the game was in a constant give and give, and even got to be tied 7-7, Boston defined the commitment in the eighth with the ninth homer of the year for Alex Verdugo.
In the end, the victory went to right-hander Hirokazu Sawamura, the loss went to Chris Marín and the rescue to Matt Barnes (15).
