Under 16 Excellence – Second place in Tuscany for Davide Pantaleo’s boys

The Under 16 Don Bosco adventure in the Final Four of the “PalaMacchia” ends with a good second place. Davide Pantaleo’s boys first beat Pistoia in the semifinals, where they are good at reacting promptly to the sprint start of the guests, constantly keeping the head of the game, albeit with small margins. The decisive tear comes in the second quarter, in fact all painted in red and blue, thanks to the warm hand of Lamperi and Baroni, with an adjoining qualification for the final the following day.
The final is against Firenze Basketball Academy; a match characterized by a slow start for both teams, with Don Bosco who manages to stay in the wake of his rivals thanks to the precision from the line, despite the physical superiority of the rivals that is felt in the second quarter, so much so that Florence closes the first half of the race over 15 lengths (37-22). In the locker room coach Pantaleo spurs his boys, in the third quarter the fruits are seen in defense – only 11 points granted to rivals – less in attack. The reaction comes in the last period, the rossoblu defense rises, the attack begins to mesh with sharp counterattacks and thanks to some plays by Tomei and Lamperi, Don Bosco arrives at -4, at 54-50, at 50 “seconds from the final siren. Under 14 – Nice success in the derby with Pielle

Another success for Under 14 Don Bosco in the Under 14 championship, this time in the derby against Pielle. A match always led by Federico Tosarelli’s boys, without however closing the accounts definitively, until the final quarter when, thanks to a partial in the period of 24-14, the decisive break arrived that delivered two more points to the rossoblu. As for individual performances, Sanciu’s tests were excellent, well beyond the 4 points scored, Malloggi and Casapieri.

Under 18 – Gabriele Ricci’s boys’ match

In the match against Empoli, the Under 18’s journey is interrupted. Excellence, who had also started the match with high gears, as evidenced by the clear 21-6 at the end of the first quarter. From that moment on, however, darkness fell at the Rossoblu home, also thanks to the injury on Kuuba’s initial duo. Empoli first started the comeback, going to the interval under four lengths, a blackout continued even after returning from the locker room, with the guests who, thanks also to an excellent three-point percentage, put their nose ahead, and then concluded on 73-60.
