“Joining the international circuit on a recurring basis”

You have extended your contract at Metz TT. An easy decision to make?

” Yes. I find the project to be coherent. I still have room for improvement and I need to be able to really assert myself in Pro B before seeing things bigger. I therefore intend all of this to be implemented from next season. “

Have you been approached by other clubs?

“Yes, in Pro A, but with too many uncertainties. I didn’t want to take any risks because I feel good in Metz. It’s a club that gave me my chance, with which I have a very good relationship. “

What goals do you set for yourself?

“We will see how the health situation improves to also start the senior international competitions. It will help me a lot for the championship. The goal is to integrate the international circuit on a recurring basis. “

In the ranking, you are number 67 in France today. What is your ambition in this area?

“Currently, it’s complicated to talk about the standings. There are not a lot of individual competitions, there is even only the championship to score points, which is quite complicated because it does not really reflect the level of play of each person at the moment. All the young people, the players of my generation, as well as those a little older, have improved a lot. The rankings don’t reflect reality too much anymore. “

With the Metz TT, what are your hopes in Pro B? Aim higher than maintenance?

“Yes, for sure, it goes with the progression. This season, we see that when we have two players, or even the whole team, we manage to worry Roanne, the leader, Thorigné-Fouillard, another contender for the climb. We have a little card to play, but that is not the primary objective. The main objective, next season, is really to show that we are a team that performs. To play at the top of the table, yes, but the climb, no, that would be pretentious. We want to appear in the first part of the table, worry, as we are doing this year, the big teams and keep our rank against formations of our level. “
