EURO 2020 News – Italy Strikes 8 Players, PSG Star Gets Expelled

BOLASPORT.COM – The Italian national team has eliminated 8 players from the provisional squad for EURO 2020, with the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star being one of the outcasts.

For the EURO 2020 title, the Italian national team made by Roberto Mancini had called 34 players which later swelled to 36 people into the temporary squad.

The Italian national team has until today, Monday (31/5/2021), to reduce the team members to 26 people and submit the official squad roster to UEFA on June 1, 10 days before the kick off of EURO 2020.

Using a trial against San Marino on May 28, Roberto Mancini displaced 8 players so that the Italian squad now leaves 28 people.

Means 2 more people will be crossed out by Mancini today.

Included in the 8 players who were kicked out first were PSG star Moise Kean.

The 21-year-old striker failed to compete with him and did not impress when he started the match against San Marino.

Other players left out were goalkeeper Alessio Cragno, defenders Cristiano Biraghi, Gian Marco Ferarri, Manuel Lazzari, midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli, as well as forwards Vincenzo Grifo and Giacomo Raspadori.
