Milwaukee Bucks ended the first big surprise of the NBA ‘Playoffs’ by eliminating the Miami Heat after beating in the fourth game of the series (103-120), while the Philadelphia 76ers remains one step away from the semifinals of Eastern Conference after defeating the Washington Wizards (103-132) in the third game.
The Wisconsin franchise quickly eliminated the current runners-up (4-0), its executioners at Disney last year, in a match in which it relied on a ‘triple-double’ by Giannis Antetokounmpo (20 points, 15 assists and 12 rebounds).
Despite losing Donte DiVincenzo through injury for the rest of the ‘Playoffs’, Mike Budenholzer’s men knew how to recover from the blow to neutralize Jimmy Butler, who despite finishing with a ‘triple-double’ of 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, he finished with a scant 4 of 15 shooting (27%).
Also in the East, the Philadelphia 76ers took another step forward to advance to the conference semifinals by defeating the Washington Wizards (103-132) to make it 3-0. Cameroonian Joel Embiid, with 36 points, led those of Doc Rivers, who this Monday will have the opportunity to close the series. Russell Westbrook’s 26 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists and Bradley Beal’s 25 points did not prevent the defeat of the Wizards, who are on the brink.
