Eden Hazard has not stopped being injured. Real Madrid’s investment for the winger was in vain.
Madrid confirmed that Hazard was injured again on Wednesday (3/2/2021) local time. The 30-year-old player suffered another muscle injury.
Hazard has indeed been plagued by injury problems since joining Madrid in the summer of 2019. He even played only 22 times and scored one goal in all competitions in his first season.
In this second season, the Belgian player has only appeared 13 times and scored three goals. As a result, Madrid have not gotten Hazard’s best performances like his time at Chelsea.
This also marks that Madrid is very losing to bring Hazard. The 30-year-old man even though he had already been redeemed from the Blues for a dowry of 130 million pounds.
In order to avoid big losses, Dimitar Berbatov thinks that Madrid must release Hazard at the end of this season. Hazard’s investment appears to have failed.
“Real Madrid should consider selling Hazard. He has had a lot of injuries since arriving in Spain, and that has prevented him from showing the brilliant football he played at Chelsea,” Berbatov said in an interview with Betfair.
“If it happens every now and then it will be a different problem, but the fact is that the player has been injured repeatedly. It’s a sign that there are other problems affecting him,” he continued.
“Will he be able to get back into shape and show that the money Real Madrid invested in was the right decision? At the moment, the answer is no.”
“It is true that Hazard has just turned 30 and still has plenty of time to contribute more, but this question is a question that needs to be asked. Hazard has not proven anything at Madrid, so it would not be surprising if he leaves in the summer,” Berbatov confirmed.
