Raphaël Edima Okoumba and his family went to show their support for the judoka injured and bedridden for six years.

Since the surge on a French television channel on the case of Jocelyn Ename better known under the name of Jojo, a Gabonese judoka injured during a competition in Côte d’Ivoire and until today bedridden, a surge of solidarity continues to manifest itself in its place.

This is the case of the Gabon Sport en Avant Association, led by its president, Raphaël Edima Okoumba, who went this Saturday to the patient’s home located at PK27 to show him their support.

“I was stunned by the report on the situation of little Jojo. As an athlete in my spare time and as a citizen, it is a cry of distress and a situation that concerns me in more than one way ”, said President Edima Okoumba.

For him, “It is about a Gabonese fallen under the colors of the country. Our young structure advocating the promotion of all that is sport and Jojo being sporty despite the accident which still blocks him in bed, we believe, without withdrawing from the State, that we can help him with the authorities so that his situation be studied as an emergency ”.

“By congratulating Samu Social for the work accomplished so far, we want to boost energies in order to provide a lasting solution to our young compatriot. And therefore allow the commitments made by the authorities to act ”, the visitor continued.

If the role of Gabon Sport en Avant will be to “Strengthen this awareness with the authorities so that his problem is dealt with urgently”, his trip to the patient’s home was also an opportunity to also give him a financial contribution of 100,000 FCFA, water packs and other suitable foods.

Gesture welcomed with great joy by Jojo who is recovering little by little since the Samu follows him and who told us to be in contact with the boss of Sports, Franck Nguéma, whose announced state gesture is still awaited.
