African Judo Union: Siteny on track to succeed Habib Sissoko

Habib Sissoko, the outgoing president of the African Judo Union (AUJ), will not be a candidate for his own succession. Indeed, he has just given his blessing to Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko (president of the Malagasy Olympic Committee) to succeed him at the head of the UAJ. In front of the press, Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko gave the reasons which push him to run for the post of president of the UAJ. “I got the green light from President Habib Sissoko in this race for the presidency of the UAJ. He thinks I’m the best to take over ”, Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko said. This support from Habib Sissoko is in addition to that of the majority of countries on the continent.

Indeed, Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko has indicated that the solicitation of his African colleagues has greatly contributed to his candidacy. “Many countries of the continent, North, West and Central, among others, have requested my candidacy”, at-il dit. Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko wants to be confident in the idea of ​​taking the race. “We have a team capable of leading the UAJ”, he confided.

Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko is not the only candidate to succeed Habib Sissoko. The President of the Chadian Federation, Abakar Djermah Aumi has also embarked on the race. It prides itself on having the support of nearly 20 national federations.

Asked about the Chadian’s candidacy, Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko suggested that the number of voters is 51. “With only 20 countries alongside the Chadian, he has no chance of defeating me. I consider Abakar Djermah Aumi as a brother as a member of the UAJ. Moreover, my team has helped its Federation on many occasions to develop Chadian judo.
