Top club cancels David Alaba

Two decisive reasons speak against the obligation of the ÖFB star.

Where is David Alaba moving to? As is well known, Austria’s contract expires in the summer with Bayern, but the 28-year-old has not yet decided on a new club. In any case, a top club is now getting out of transfer poker. For Liverpool FC, a commitment is no longer an option.

Too old and too small

As the “Independent” reports, those responsible for the Reds have now spoken out clearly against Alaba. The English champions are looking for reinforcement in the defense center, but want to rely on a younger player. At 28, Alaba is already too old to permanently replace Joel Matip (29). In addition, the Austrian with his 1.80 meters is too small for central defense. Liverpool would now like to force a transfer of Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano.

It is now more and more likely that David Alabas will move to Real Madrid. The negotiations are said to have already progressed – the deal could be fixed in January.
