Dresden – The announcement of the decision is imminent. In the past two weeks there has been a lot of speculation and writing about the future of Paul Will (25), after the 4-0 win against MSV Duisburg, Dynamo Dresden’s midfielder revealed that the decision had been made.

“I have agreed with the club that we will make a decision by Sunday, we will come together and probably communicate it to the outside world. So you will know what I have decided by tomorrow or Monday at the latest,” explained the 25-year-old .

Will had made his decision, “it stands,” he said matter-of-factly.

But he didn’t want to reveal how it turned out: “I waited a long time for my first conversation, you can do that too.”

It sounds like discussions were held during the week.

Just a week ago after the game in Unterhaching, Will explained: “I still have an offer from the club from Ralf Becker’s time. There hasn’t been a conversation with me since he was released.”

Negligible, because the midfield engine is being chased by a lot of second division teams. Darmstadt 98 is said to have put out feelers to Will.

The talks are said to be well advanced. Is the turnaround now coming and the vice-captain staying with Dynamo?

It’s hard to imagine that a departure would be announced now, a week before the Saxony Cup final – where so much is at stake for the club.

Dynamo Dresden “Preserve identity”: Kutschke should stay with Dynamo

Dynamo fans can at least hope for an extension.

Will scored his second goal of the season against the Zebras. As in the first leg, he scored from a set piece.

And the Duisburg specialist made it clear: “It’s a shame that they’re relegated! Then two sure goals for me will be lost next season.” Asked whether he would stay then: “As of now, that’s the plan, I’m still under contract here. It’s not June 30th yet.”

Everything else in 24 to 48 hours.
