Tessa Worley once again second behind Bassino – Fil Info

Italian skier Marta Bassino won her second World Cup giant in two days at Kranjska Gora on Sunday, confirming her return to power in the discipline. Second at 30 / 100th to the American Mikaela Shiffrin after the first round, Bassino performed perfectly in the second to catch up and finish on the top of the podium, completed by the Swiss Michelle Gisin (at 66 / 100th) and Slovenian Meta Hrovat (73 / 100th).

The French Tessa Worley, 5th in the first round, may regret two small faults – one in each round – but confirms her revival, finishing fifth, after her second place the day before.

Bassino now has a 128-point lead in the discipline’s standings ahead of Gisin, and takes the opportunity to take third place from Shiffrin (6th in the race) overall. World Cup leader Petra Vlhova, 10th on the day, saw the gap with her Swiss runner-up disappear from 114 to 60 points.
