Will defeat still be a victory? KVK lodges a complaint after a snowfall by the sea | Jupiler Pro League

Yesterday, KV Kortrijk played the match against KV Oostende “with reservation”. And a day later, the club also effectively filed a complaint with the football association.

“Ostend has not done everything to make the field snow-free”, says chairman Ronny Verhelst. “This was not a promotion for football, it didn’t help the viewers at home. Moreover, the risk for the players to get injured was greater.”

“The game could be finished perfectly today. In professional football, everything must be done to play in the best conditions. The Disputes Committee must now judge.”

Kortrijk is probably not doing this purely for the image of the sport. If the complaint is considered justified, yesterday’s defeat could suddenly turn into a victory with forfeit figures.

Racing Genk would also like to file such a complaint. The team lost 2-0 in Mouscron yesterday. After the match, trainer Van den Brom was already very busy about the field there.
