Pandemic Makes David Beckham to Accompany Children to Exercise More Often

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Covid-19 pandemic has made former England and Manchester United national team star David Beckham accompany his children to exercise more and more.

For Beckham, the Covid-19 pandemic changes everything. The daily activities that he usually do have to be adjusted, including when doing sports.

“My sports habits have to change like most people this year. Usually I go to the gym and exercise with my friends. Of course we shouldn’t do that, so it has to be changed,” Beckham told the virtual press conference of the launch of AIA Vitality on Sunday January 3, 2020.

Although his space is limited, Beckham does not run out of wits in filling his days. He tries not to change his routine as a former athlete by exercising regularly.

In fact, Beckham admits that this pandemic has made him exercise more often with his children and his wife, Victoria. Various types of sports are also carried out, starting from cycling, running, or walking.

“But I also find pleasure in doing something different. I can exercise with my kids because their school is off. So I can cycle and run or walk, those things are different,” he said.

“But one thing that doesn’t change is routine. I make sure to exercise every morning and do physical activity on the sidelines of a busy day. If I exercise in the morning with my kids,” he added.

Beckham also talked about the importance of maintaining the discipline to adopt a healthy lifestyle, not only by getting enough sleep, regular exercise, but also eating well.

The combination of all these small steps could make a real difference to a person’s health in a pandemic like it is today.

“I have been working with AIA to help inspire, motivate and educate people about how small changes in daily habits can have a positive impact on their health and wellness,” said the Manchester United legend.
