No Combine Scouting in Indianapolis in 2021 | Touchdown Actu (NFL Actu)

Following the pandemic and its risks, college players and NFL franchise staff will not meet in Indianapolis this year.

According to ESPN, the Scouting Combine will not take place in 2021. Athletic measurements will nonetheless be conducted during the Pro Days, when, on their respective campuses, players eligible for the draft are evaluated by the NFL scouts.

These skills workshops by positions as well as athletic tests, such as the 40-yard sprint, will therefore take place under different conditions, on different days for the players. But in its memo on Monday, the league vows to try to keep conditions as close as possible for everyone.

The NFL Combine allowed to give the same conditions to everyone and, allowed to see who knew how to manage (or not) the pressure of the event. The invaluable talks will be via video conference.
