Man City Hit by Corona Storm, Mendy Even New Year’s Party

Manchester

Benjamin Mendy seems to have forgotten that his club, Manchester City, is being hit by a corona virus storm. Mendy could possibly have a New Years party, Duh!

City had to postpone the match against Everton last Tuesday. This is because four team members have contracted COVID-19, three of whom are players. Two names have been published, namely Gabriel Jesus and Riyad Mahrez.

City has even closed its training center on the Etihad Campus so that the transmission of COVID-19 does not spread throughout the team. This condition is certainly a worry for City in the future, because there could be other players who are infected.

Fortunately, the match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday (3/1/2021) evening WIB was still held. Well, in the midst of the team’s condition in the red zone, one of the City players actually made a tantrum.

Quoted by the Daily Mail, Benjamin Mendy was caught violating the COVID-19 protocol because he was determined to host a New Year’s party at his home in Mottram St Andrews, Cheshire.

Mendy invited two of his friends and one chef to have a party at his house. Not only that, Mendy also invited his girlfriend, nephews and cousins.

Of course this can invite problems with the club considering Mendy and other City players have been reminded to take care of themselves, in the midst of the corona virus pandemic, so as not to have a large party.

Moreover, COVID-19 cases are increasing in the UK at this time. The violation was confirmed by several uploads on media accounts.

Some of the media even got pictures of several women leaving Mendy’s house early in the morning. Not only that, it is claimed that Benjamin Mendy also ordered a woman on call from London to be flown to Manchester.

It is reported that Manchester City will immediately contact Mendy to ask for an explanation of the violation of the COVID-19 protocol.
