Call for clubs for the Professional Basketball Division

The Professional Basketball Division (DPB) in Colombia opened the call for new clubs that wish to be part of the DPB, with prior compliance with the legal requirements and those issued by the Colombian Basketball Federation.

“Multiple requests were received, which is why this Monday, January 4 (yesterday) a DPB delegation began a cycle of visits to different cities such as Cartagena, Santa Marta, Villavicencio and Armenia. The visits include meetings with local basketball leaders, government entities, businessmen and a technical visit to sports venues in the city, ”announced the entity that organizes the League of this sport in Colombia.

These visits began in December of last year, in Medellín, by John Mario Tejada, commissioner of the Professional Basketball Division of Colombia.

“In this cycle of visits we want to know the sports and administrative structure of each club that wants to be part of the DPB, the support of government authorities and of course its sports and hotel facilities, for this year we believe that it should be played in modality bubble for biosecurity reasons, but in the future the competition system will be roundtrip and therefore, we must guarantee good sports venues from now on ”, explained Tejada.

The entity added that in the coming days they will announce new visits and the result of these.
