Bsquet Girona play five games in a key February

Bàsquet Girona will play five matches in a key month of February for its aspirations for the LEB Or. Carles Marco’s team, at the best moment of the season after three consecutive victories (Castellón, Huesca and Lleida), will resume the competition next Tuesday at the Alicante track, where they will recover one of the duels that go to be postponed due to the outbreak of coronavirus that affected the Girona dressing room. The February program still has a game to go, the duel against Almansa that should be held tomorrow, but which was also postponed, in this case, due to the impact of the virus on the rival bloc.

Girona will play only two games in Fontajau, on Sunday 7 against Granada (12.00) and on the 28th against Canoe (12.30). Along the way, he will have recovered the game with the Madrid team that has already been changed four times for the first round (Tuesday 9) and will visit Murcia, a direct rival, from whom he already got rid of Fontajau with solvency.

The series of three consecutive victories that accredit the Girona has reactivated them in the classification, where they are now sixth in group B, with a balance of 5/6, to two victories of the fifth, Granada, which closes the cut between the teams that they will fight in the second phase for the ascent and those who will have to do it not to go down. The dispute last week of the Cup and the postponement of tomorrow with Almansa will have stopped Girona two weeks precisely when they lived the best moment. Next Tuesday they will resume the league, with a visit to Alicante that is second (9/3).
