“Bilbao is a strong opponent. The fact that we won there will only give my team more confidence.”
Barcelona now counts 7 points less than Atletico, which also has two games to be played. “But the title race is not over yet”, warns Koeman. “The season will last a very long time. There may always be injuries or teams that perform less well.”
The Dutchman also praised Lionel Messi, who probably played his best match of the season in Bilbao. “Ever since my first day, I see a Messi who gives everything. He has played at absolute top level for years and now seems to be even more efficient.”
