1 in Nuremberg, Würzburger Kickers win

Dhe Hamburger SV and Holstein Kiel had no win on matchday 15 of the second Bundesliga. HSV had to be satisfied with one point at 1: 1 (1: 1) at 1. FC Nürnberg on Saturday. Striker Simon Terodde saved coach Daniel Thioune’s team with his 16th goal of the season one point after four wins in a row. Fabian Nürnberger (14th) shot the club in the lead.

With 30 points, HSV remains the front runner, but VfL Bochum on Sunday and Fortuna Düsseldorf on Monday can move closer to the Hanseatic League. The previous table runner-up Kiel could then fall from the direct promotion ranks. Coach Ole Werner’s team did not get past a 1: 1 (0: 0) at FC St. Pauli on Saturday. Despite the strong winter newcomer Omar Marmoush, who promptly took the lead for Hamburg on his starting eleven (52nd), St. Pauli remained without a win in the 13th game in a row and is still penultimate with ten points. Marmoush came from VfL Wolfsburg at the turn of the year.

For Kiel, who had not won against Osnabrück (1: 2) the previous week, Joshua Mees (62nd) scored to equalize. The North Germans stay second with 29 points, at least overnight. Already on Friday the table third Spielvereinigung Greuther Fürth (27 points) failed with the 2: 3 (2: 2) at Karlsruher SC. On Sunday, Bochum in Regensburg and Düsseldorf in Braunschweig can pass by. Both western clubs have 26 points in their account.

In the basement of the table, bottom Würzburger Kickers achieved their second win of the season at 3: 2 (0: 1) at VfL Osnabrück. A month and a half after the 2-1 win against Hannover, the twice successful Marvin Pieringer (67th / 76th) and David Kopacz (80th) shot the Franks to victory. Sebastian Kerk (41st) and Luc Ihorst (85th) scored for VfL, who lost their connection to the top group with still 22 points. Despite the victory, Würzburg is still six points behind a non-relegation place.
