Struggling with a slew of COVID-19 outbreaks since the start of its 2020 campaign, the NFL has added new health measures to its protocol.

In a memo sent to its 32 teams and obtained by the daily “USA Today”, the Goodell circuit orders that the formations close the access to their training complex for the two days following their match of the week.

Only players needing medical treatment or continuing a rehabilitation program will be allowed to attend.

For their part, coaches will be able to enter the buildings, but must only work from their desks and conduct their meetings virtually.

These new measures have received approval from the NFL Players Association.
