LeBron James renews with the Lakers: New contract

The Angels –

NBA superstar LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers want to work together for another three years and have extended their contract prematurely, reported several US media, citing James’ agent Rich Paul.

The team mate of national basketball player Dennis Schröder could have changed clubs after the upcoming season, but has now agreed with the defending champion on an extension of two years. According to the information, James will receive 85 million US dollars (around 70.2 million euros) for this period. He will be 36 this month.

The Los Angeles Times also saw the extension as a sign of Anthony Davis’ plan. The second star player of the championship season is currently negotiating a new contract with the Lakers and could also leave the club.

Schröder recently came to Los Angeles from the Oklahoma City Thunder and has one year of contract left.
