New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara tied the record for touchdowns in an NFL game on Friday night with six.

He thus helped his people defeat the Minnesota Vikings 52-33. Thanks to this performance, the Saints (11-4) also won the title of their section for a fourth year in a row.

Only one other player has scored six touchdowns in NFL history: Ernie Nevers of the Chicago Cardinals in 1929.

Kamara also became the first player to score six touchdowns in a game since 1965.

In addition to his six touchdowns, the 25-year-old had 155 rushing yards and 17 flying yards.

Despite the convincing Saints’ win, quarterback Drew Brees did not have his best game, suffering two interceptions and not throwing any assists for a major. He nevertheless had 311 yards of gains by the air.

For their part, the Vikings (6-9) can no longer participate in the NFL playoffs.
