The Milwaukee Bucks let it rain on Tuesday three-point litters in the clear 144:97 success at the Miami Heat, the highest away win in franchise history. 29 successful threesomes set a new NBA record. The previous record (27) was set by the Houston Rockets in April 2019.

Two days ago, the Bucks had only met seven times from a distance in their 110-130 defeat in New York. “On some evenings the basketball gods are with you,” said Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer now, “I think that was one of those evenings today.” His team has two wins and two losses.

Of the 13 Bucks players who played in Miami, twelve pocketed at least one threesome. Only Giannis Antetokounmpo came away empty-handed. The MVP had a quiet evening with nine points. This ended his series of consecutive games with at least ten points after 132 games.

Milwaukee kicked off like the fire department in the successful revenge for the end in the past play-offs, when the Heat knocked out the Bucks in five games. After just under 80 seconds, the Bucks were leading 10: 0, after just under four minutes 21: 3. “It looked like you had been thinking about this game for 80 days,” said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. Both teams face each other again on Wednesday.

Theis takes revenge with the Celtics in Indiana

Daniel Theis and the Boston Celtics won at the Indiana Pacers thanks to a strong final quarter with 116: 111 and thus returned the favor for the narrow defeat two days ago in the same place. Center Theis was again in the starting line-up and scored four points and four rebounds in just over 23 minutes. It was the first loss of the season for the Pacers.

Isaiah Hartenstein conceded the third defeat in the fourth game with the Denver Nuggets, the German got three points and three rebounds at 115: 125 at the Sacramento Kings from the bench. The Washington Wizards with national team-mate Isaac Bonga are still without a win. The Chicago Bulls suffered a 107-115 defeat. As a starter, Bonga remained without points in just 16 minutes (4 rebounds), Moritz Wagner was again not in action for the Wizards.
