NFL Fantasy: Sit ‘Em, Week 11

The Dolphins emerge as one of the best teams in the AFC, and after the victory against Chargers they already have five victories in a row thanks to a defense that has allowed only one 300-yard passing game in that span. This, and the possible loss of Drew Lock for next Sunday’s game in Denver, gives a lot of hope to Melvin Gordon, and to the Broncos attack in general.

Only with outstanding background and statistical analysis, without crystal balls at hand, below the players who, for recommendation, you can leave on your team bench

Who to sit in Fantasy Week 11?

Quarterback

The Rams got the win against Seattle with 302 yards of Jared GoffBut the quarterback failed to complete a single touchdown and lost the ball in another. By going to Tampa, he will face the seventh best defense against quarterbacks – strictly speaking Fantasy. The last time he faced a rising defense, and on the road, it was against Miami, a 355-yard game, yes, but completing 57.3 of his passes, with one touchdown and two interceptions.

Running back

Melvin Gordon He faces Miami in Denver and has not scored since Week 7. With the probability of not having Drew Lock, the Broncos attack is in trouble. Added to this, the Dolphins defense is setting the pace for their games. Although they are 22nd in rushing yards, in the last four games they have allowed just three rushing touchdowns and none have been to running backs (Robert Woods, Kyler Murray, Justin Herbert).

Wide receiver

If Gordon will be affected by the possible absence of Lock against Miami, it is possible that the negative effect on Jerry Jeudy be even more noticeable. In his last two meetings Jeudy has had remarkable performances, especially two days ago. In that span, he has 11 receptions on 22 shipments in his direction for 193 yards with a touchdown. But again, without Lock that may be different. Xavien Howard and Byron Jones will be watching him this time.

Tigh end

With Ryan Fitzpatrick at the controls of the attack, Mike Gesicki he captured two touchdowns in the first three games of the year, including a 130-yard game against Buffalo. With Tua Tagovailoa behind the center Gesicki has been searched 11 times in the last three games, totaling 90 yards.

Kicker

Stephen Gostkowski he is perfect scoring his career-average two field goals against Baltimore, as well as his 3.3 extra points. But that was when he was in New England, and this season he is far from keeping pace with completing just 60% of his three-point attempts, the lowest of his 15-year NFL career.

Defending

The defense of Chiefs it is in good shape, better than previous years. They have managed 14 turnovers from the opposing attack, nine interceptions and five fumbles recovered, but the only team that beat Kansas City this year is the rival of Week 11 and, in turn, those coordinated by Steve Spagnuolo go on the road to Las Vegas, the team that has done the most damage to the Chiefs this year, totaling 490 yards (346 in the air and 144 on the ground). Patrick Mahomes has not lost twice against the same team, but it is not in him to stop Derek Carr and Josh Jacobs.
