Jogi Löw gets time for analysis – decision on December 4th

Decision on December 4th

After the debacle of the German national team, Löw came under pressure. Now the German Football Association has confirmed that the national coach will be given time – then DFB Director Bierhoff will have to present the analysis.

The German Football Association (DFB) gives its ailing national coach Joachim Loew time. According to a presidium decision, Löw should “reduce the emotional distance” to get the 0: 6 disgrace in Spain, in order to “fundamentally work up the current situation of the national team. It should be done that way,” said a statement on Monday.

As previously reported by several media outlets, the deadline for this is December 4th. Then DFB director Oliver Bierhoff will present Löw’s analysis to the presidium with Fritz Keller at the helm. In terms of content, the panel wants to see “experiences from the defeat against Spain, but also the overall development of the team over the past two years”.

Athletic and personal assessment

Löw, too, has already been given the direction for the work-up: A sporting assessment “to analyze the causes of the clear defeat of Seville”. As well as a personal one, “in order to deal with one’s own great disappointment”.

This timetable had been unanimously approved by the Presidium, it was said, “in order to collect, evaluate and discuss information”. The DFB wants to “inform about the results of the consultations and the next steps at the appropriate time”.
