What an incredible game we saw today! Dominic Thiem wrestles Novak Djokovic in three sets and moves into the final of the ATP finals!
After Thiem secures the first sentence with a clarified service, the second sentence is even tighter. Djokovic finally secures the second deal in the tiebreak after four (!) Blocked match points with 12:10.
The third set also ends in the tie-break. In this, Djokovic pulls away with two mini-breaks to 4-0 and is about to win. But Thiem does not give up, wins six points in a row and finally wins. The win is okay, as Thiem was the better and more constant player over the entire game. Djokovic was right, however, when he announced “a tough fight” in advance.
