A tick between the crosses

Andrés Jones started with Antonella Aguilera, Abril Ramírez, Rita Techera, Valeria Galli and Lorena Sapio. For his part, Christian Hourcade started with Leticia Menéndez, Valeria Barret, Pía Moyano, Sofía Cruces and Melina Zapata.

The start was extremely even and attractive, with both teams showing several ways to score. The Lobas from their defensive intensity sought to run the court and achieved a triple from Ramírez coming out of the direct curtain. The coastal ones managed to punish from breaks in the beginning and managed to get a small income when Barret added from beyond 6.75 and Zapata began to weigh in the low. After a minute by Jones, Micaela Martínez’s triples leveled the actions again, but Rowers from short shots could damage the zone defense. The first quarter led by 17-12.

The Mercedarians opened the second with a triple by Álvarez and although the rojinegras were able to line up two consecutive conversions, Menéndez and Moyano punished from outside to open 10 (26-16). After the minute of the Chub, Capurro adjusted defensively seeking to reach more than the shot of three and avoid the breaks, with which the scoring fell, until a bombshell by Barret, with which his team took 15. Although those led by Jones could add with some fourth shot, another triple by Barret left the difference in 16 at the end of the first half (36-20).

Rowers managed to unbalance the scoreboard with points from Cruces, thanks to his breaks and his impact on the low post to open 22. After a minute of Jones, the Lobas were deluded with a pair of 3-pointers by Micaela Martínez, but they sinned from missed free hits and did not they were able to discount the 17 points with which he was at a disadvantage in the last break (50-33).

An early triple by Ramírez continued to excite Capurro, who after sustaining an intense defense, found two more in the hands of Micaela Martínez to get to 12 (51-39). The Lobas continued to bite on defense and although it led them to commit fouls, they took advantage of the low percentages of their rival and added two bombs in the hands of Galli to get to 6 (52-46), despite not having their foreigner, Ramírez , who came out felt from the shoulder. The coastal ones responded with a 6-0 taking advantage of Moyano’s cuts to get air on the scoreboard. The Mercedarians lined up three good defenses and got with Zapata at the bottom, again the advantage of 16 points (62-46). Aguilera put a celebrated triple for his team’s bench, but it was not enough for Capu, who in two free games missed by Micaela Martínez for an unsportsmanlike attack, and the loss for 24 seconds, the chance to fight the point escaped him. On the other side, a new offensive rebound from Zapata put the lid on the game, when Melina scored a second chance. Remeros recovered after three defeats in a row and although Capurro drags a negative streak, he managed to be competitive, he was able to get to 6 and without his foreigner on the court at the end of the game.

Valeria Barret and Sofía Cruces stood out in the winner with 13 points, seconded by Melina Zapata’s 10. The game’s scorers were on the losing side, they were Micaela Martínez and Abril Ramírez with 15 and 14 points respectively.
