Jack Brown became the star of the 4-1 Indonesia U-19 national team victory over North Macedonia. The British-blooded striker successfully stole the attention.
The U-19 national team held its ninth trial match at the training camp in Croatia, facing North Macedonia at the NK Junak Sinj Stadium, Split, Croatia, Sunday (11/10/2020) evening WIB. Brown initially sat on the bench.
Action has only been 20 minutes, Brown immediately got a chance to play. He replaces Braif Fatari, who suffered an injury.
Brown’s appearance did not disappoint. He contributed two goals to the young Garuda in the match against Macedonia.
Brown contributed the first goal in the second half, to be precise in the 58th minute. Taking advantage of the chaos in front of the opponent’s goal from a corner kick from Witan Sulaeman, Brown’s kick could result in a goal.
This goal at the same time brought Indonesia to lead 2-1. Previously, the score was evenly matched 1-1, where Witan’s goal in the 13th minute, Dimitar replied with a penalty in the 47th minute.
Brown then scored his second goal in the 69th minute. Utilizing Bagas Kaffa’s pass from the right, Brown was able to pass it into a goal with a hard kick from close range.
Indonesia also led 3-1, where in the end Shin Tae-yong’s troops won 4-1 after Irfan Jauhari scored Indonesia’s fourth goal.
After the match, the name Jack Brown was hailed. The 18-year-old player immediately entered the list of trending topics in the timeline, which praised his performance.
