In trouble from the start

Océane Babel faced the power of the Russian player, seeded number 4, from the start of the match. After an entry break after 10 minutes of meeting, Kudermetova persisted and led 4 games to 0.

The Russian player won the first set 6-3 and kept the upper hand over the Guadeloupe at the opening of the second set. After losing her service game, Océane Babel broke and tied the score.

Océane Babel grew up in Sarcelles, in the Val d’Oise, where she discovered the yellow ball at 5 years old … through video games.
