The modest Dolphin of Ecuador advanced this Tuesday to the round of 16 of the 2020 Copa Libertadores by winning 1-0 at Olimpia in Asunción, at the close of Group G of the 2020 Copa Libertadores, a result that marked the elimination of the ‘King of Cups’ Paraguayan.
Agustín Ale, at 81 minutes, gave the victory to the cetacean, Ecuadorian Serie A champion in 2019. In his third participation in the Libertadores since 2018, it is the first time that Delfín has managed to get into the round of 16.

Group G was won by Santos with 16 points, followed by Delfín with 7. Defense and Justice was third with 6 to play the 2020 South American Cup in its second phase, while Olimpia went out the back door with 5 points.
The leader and undefeated Santos beat Defense and Justice of Argentina 2-1 this Tuesday at the close of Group G and left it out of the Copa Libertadores, although they qualified for the Copa Sudamericana-2020.
