Badminton upper division team SC BW Ostenland wins the top game and the derby: A perfect weekend – Delbrück

Sports manager Tim Fischbach had previously spoken of a trend-setting weekend and now this direction is clear at the latest: The undefeated championship leader is working towards a direct regional return.

A power in the individual

In the top game against TuS Friedrichsdorf, not everything went according to plan. In front of 40 spectators in the Dreifachsporthalle Delbrück, Tim Hindera / Hendrik Wiedemeier lost the first double with 18: 21/20: 22, before Jan Santüns / Dominik Ahlheit equalized with victory in the second double. Karina Wiedemeier (formerly Büser) and Sanna Schra conceded the 1: 2 in the women’s doubles, but Ostenland triumphed in the singles. Tim Hindera (1st HE), Hendrik Wiedemeier (2nd HE) and the strong Jan Santüns (3rd HE) provided a 4: 2 cushion, which Karina Wiedemeier refined with the victorious fifth point. The final defeat of the mixed duo Schra / Ahlheit was easy to cope with under these circumstances. “We showed a good team performance and are happy to take this success with us to play further up,” said Fischbach.

First round finish in Münster

In the derby against BC Phönix Hövelhof II, the SCO defended the newly earned championship lead with the fifth win in the sixth game of the season. In the first double, Tim Hindera / Hendrik Wiedemeier had to admit defeat to the Phönix team Sriteja Kummita / Björn Six with 19:21 in the third set, but then only the hosts scored for the time being. Dominik Ahlheit / Dominic Lassig defeated Marvin Barther / David Klein and Karina Wiedemeier / Sanne Schra held their own against Doreen Kortmann / Heike Vogt. In the men’s singles it was 2-0 three times – for Tim Hindera (against Björn Six), Hendrik Wiedemeier (Sriteja Kummita) and Jan Santüns (Marvin Barther) and so the success against the local neighbor was perfect. In the women’s singles, Doreen Kortmann shortened to 2: 5 with her victory over Karina Wiedemeier (21:19, 26:24), before the mixed Sanne Schra / Jan Santüns made it 6-2 with a win against Heike Vogt / David Klein . “We’re leaving the double game with two wins against very tough opponents. Now we want to successfully play the last first round match in Münster, ”said Fischbach. This game is scheduled for November 8th, the Münsteraner have not played another game since the first weekend in September (3: 1 points).
