Antoine Conte, former player of Reims, tried in January for aggravated violence – foot – justice

Antoine Conte (26) will be tried on January 26, 2021 before the criminal court for aggravated violence, reports this Tuesday LUnion. On December 8, 2016, the then defender of the Stade de Reims had hit a high school student in the head with a baseball bat who witnessed a marital dispute between the player and his partner. Arrested an hour after the assault and placed in police custody, Antoine Conte had admitted the facts from his first interrogation and had been placed under judicial supervision.

According to the daily Reims, Liam Jean, the victim who had been evacuated to the CHU with an extradural hematoma, suffers from a permanent disability, which could have earned Antoine Conte to be tried before an assize court. But the victim is said to have come out in favor of a “correctionalization” of the facts to shorten the judicial procedure, already four years long.
