The German pilot Sandro Cortese (OUTDO Kawasaki TPR) suffered a crash this Saturday on the last lap of Superbike Race 1 in Portimao (Portugal) and had to be transferred to a nearby hospital by helicopter.
The organization of the championship explained that the pilot he fell at Turn 11, when he was facing the last of the 17 laps at the Autodromo Internacional del Algarve.
He was transferred by helicopter, in a ‘conscious’ state, to a local hospital.
For this reason, the start of the WorldSSP category race has been delayed until the helicopter returns to the circuit.
