Proponents of the motion of censure against Bartholomew are launching a donation campaign

Just as the board is studying how to react to Lionel Messi’s decision not to appear in training, Josep Maria Bartomeu is following the news about the motion of censure against his management. The various groups that have taken charge of this initiative announced this Sunday that they are launching a donation campaign to provide economic muscle to this “cross-censorship motion” as they call it after the meetings of recent days, where pre-candidates and partner groups joined.

The groups Cor Blaugrana, Manifest Blaugrana, Dignitat Blaugrana, Senyor Ramon, SeguimentFCB, Bots Blaugranes, La Resistència del Palau and Noies Barça Twitter are working with the support of pre-candidates Víctor Font, Jordi Farré and Lluís Fernández Alà. Others, such as Joan Laporta and Agustí Benedito, have not joined. Emili Rousaud, on the other hand, considers that now is not the time to initiate a motion.

The people in charge of the Motion know that next week it will be necessary to start the process to get signatures in a unique and complicated context, that of the pandemic, without matches at the Camp Nou, when signatures were usually sought for motions of censure. that they must be physically collected. The intention of the promoters, according to one of the spokespersons, Marc Duch, president of Manifest Blaugrana, “is to build a cross-cutting motion in which everyone will be welcome. The context generated by the coronavirus is a major handicap to collect signatures, but in the coming days we will present some proposals to the club so that the member has all the possible facilities “, informed Duch. “This will surely involve modifying some of the usual procedures for carrying out a motion,” he added.

The club has had five working days since last Wednesday, when the pre-candidate Jordi Farré went to look for the documentation to start the motion, to give his approval to the application. Therefore, the answer should arrive earlier this week. Farré took the step without consulting with the groups of partners who also talked about starting one, provoking some complaints as two processes cannot be open at the same time of motions. Thus, in the end most opposition groups came together, with Farré agreeing to collaborate.

Messi acts as if he is no longer from Barça and has not gone to work this Sunday

When the club’s response arrives, the next day the promoters could go and get the ballots. From then on, they will have 14 working days to collect at least the signatures of 15% of the club’s electoral census (in 2013 the assembly of delegates approved that the percentage be increased from 5 to 15%), slightly less of 16,000, so that the motion may proceed. Since 2018, when the assembly of delegates approved it, Saturdays count as working days. In the event that the promoters exceed this required 15%, the club should hold a referendum that would only lead to the removal of the current board if they wanted at least 66.6% of voters.

The groups that support the motion believe that 200,000 euros are needed for the motion to have options to succeed, which is why they will announce next week the collection points for signatures they want to open, message service to go for signatures and digital promotion , taking advantage of the digital infrastructure (mocio2020.cat) already created by the group ‘Cor Blaugrana’ already before the 2-8 of Lisbon and the pulse of Messi to leave the club.
