The Spanish Álex Palou will start from seventh position the Indianapolis 500 that will be played next Sunday, August 23. Palou could not shine in the “Fast nine”, where the top nine in the standings played for pole position, which finally remained Marco Andretti.
Palou, a rookie in the Indy 500 oval, is signing a dream first participation, well above expectations so far. In fact, The Spaniard got among the best despite his rookie status.
In the four timed laps, whose average speed is the one that gives the final result of the classification, Palou went from more to less, setting a great time in his first lap to see how then his wheels were little by little losing grip until forcing him to give up speed. Even so, Palou finished seventh and will start with everything in the race on Sunday in which Alonso will come from much further back, although in a test like the Indy 500 that starting position is little more than anecdotal.
