West Ham will “sell” the rice

Chelsea will be able to sign Declan Rice from West Ham if he pays a lot.

Former Irons forward Frank McAvennie has insisted if Chelsea meet Rice’s asking price, the 21-year-old will leave.

Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “You’re talking about £ 80 million for Harry Maguire.

“I think if it’s worth it, West Ham will think Declan is worth somewhere between £ 60-80m.

“But listen, the owners will have a figure in mind, and I think it’s the same with every club, if someone matches it, they’ll sell it.

“Every club is a club that sells now, especially with the pandemic and no money coming in from the fans.

“They will have a price and, if he is satisfied, he will be on the right track – if he wants to, that is. It also depends on the player. “
