Champions League: “I am convinced that PSG will win next year”, assures DJ Snake

Young teenager, DJ Snake took the RER from Val-d’Oise where he grew up to attend PSG matches at Parc des Princes. Today, while he is on the roof of the world, the Frenchman the most listened to in the whole world thanks to his planetary hits “Loco Contigo”, “Taki Taki” or “Let Me Love You” (28 billion plays online), he has lost none of the fan’s fervor.

Close to many Parisian players, including Neymar, the 34-year-old artist had the chance to make the trip to Lisbon for the lost Champions League final. He tells us about his extraordinary evening.

Sometimes you take a private jet from the United States just to see a game at Parc des Princes. This time, you headed for Lisbon?

DJ SNAKE. Yes! I went to support my team. I am a fervent supporter of PSG, it’s my cute sin, I’m completely possessed ( Editor’s note: he laughs )! With the Covid, there were no spectators but I was one of the twenty privileged people invited by the club. I started the songs a bit in the stands because we slept a little too much … There were a few politicians, Anne Hidalgo, Nicolas Sarkozy, the president of PSG. I took knives and forks from the dressing room and tapped those cutlery on the railing to support the team. I made everyone laugh.

How did you experience this defeat?

Either we win or we learn! And PSG is a young club, which is only 50 years old. We rubbed shoulders with the best, and you have to surpass yourself mentally in these meetings. It was already good for us to reach the final. We do not have to be ashamed of our career, it was played out on details but we will win next year, I am convinced.

Have you heard from the players?

Yes of course I saw them and got on the phone. An hour ago I was chatting with them on WhatsApp. I am in contact with practically all the players, I am a friend of PSG, it has always been my club. They love my music, they dance to my songs and I support them in the gallery. We have a very healthy and respectful relationship. I have been a supporter of PSG since 1995 and Kylian (Mbappé) was born in 1998 (Editor’s note: he’s laughing) !
