Skipper stays
Aubameyang’s future has been in doubt for months, if not years, but seems to have finally found a solution.
The Gunners’ Talisman captain, now 31, will sign an improved extension of his current contract, which will expire at the end of the next campaign.
There have been several reports in recent weeks that he has asked up to £ 250,000 a week for a new three-year contract.
Aubameyang has 22 Premier League goals this season and 54 in 85 Premier League games since arriving in January 2018.
He also scored a double in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
The expected deal was first reported by the British Daily Telegraph.
Winger splashes in
The Gunners are also close to signing Chelsea winger Willian. Willian, 32, is a free transfer.
The Brazil flyer receives a £ 100,000 weekly (AUD 183,000) contract for a three-year contract, according to ESPN.
It comes after the midfielder reportedly rejected a two-year contract to stay with Chelsea (according to The Times, August 5);
And the anticipated move became more credible after the PES 2021 video game shared a seven-second clip of Willian in an Arsenal jersey.

To fund the bills, Arsenal have reportedly used 22-year-old midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles
for sale – and 55 employees fired.
The academy product was seen as a key role in Mikel Arteta’s remodeling after completing 32 appearances this season.
And he even started in the final of the FA Cup in front of the highly rated youngster Bukayo Saka.
The Gunners are looking for bids of around £ 30m. Experienced defenders Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Shkodran Mustafi are also out of the game, although these deals are unlikely to result in significant transfer fees.
Gabriel a shooter?
Lille defender Gabriel Magalhães is reportedly nearing a move to Arsenal. The Daily Record said yesterday that he had personal talks with the club this week.
The 22-year-old towering defender was a long-term goal for Everton. Manchester United are closely linked to the central defender, who stands at six feet three.
Its valuation is expected to be £ 25m and £ 30m respectively.
