This new reserve list category has been created for a player who has tested positive for COVID-19 or who has been quarantined after being in close contact with one or more infected people. If a player falls into one of these categories, his club is required to immediately place the player on the reserve / COVID-19 list. In accordance with agreed NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on the player’s state of health other than the roster status. Clubs cannot reveal if the player is in quarantine or if he is positive for COVID-19.
